I want to further global cooperation

Better global co-operation is a prerequisite for solving the world's problems.

The UN has highlighted the following key areas:

  • Creating an open, regulated, predictable and fair system for trading and financing
  • Meeting developing countries' special needs, especially those of isolated communities
  • Dealing with developing countries' debt problems.

These targets are not in themselves obvious business opportunities, but they span a number of areas that should be included in your deliberations when pursuing business opportunities that can make the world a better place.

If you have a good idea for a product, a service or an innovative business model which can help reduce poverty or help the environment, for example, you can help to make the world a better place. You could, for example, do this by promoting open and fair trade.

The Danish Ethical Trading Initiative (DIEH) was founded in February 2008 and brings together trades unions, organisations and companies to promote ethical trading and purchasing worldwide. www.dieh.dk (Danish)
