Educating more of the world’s poor is one of the UN's priorities. Although this may seem a long way from everyday life in a small business, you may still be able to help achieve this goal.

You may be able to help children or women get an education. For example, a small Danish company was able to convert unwanted containers into schoolrooms for a very small amount of money.

This is a market in which few private companies are involved.
On the other hand, many aid organisations have had many years of experience in this field. Could one of them be your partner? You might even be able to obtain government funding to support your project.
